Do I need a referral from a physician to see you?

No,  Arizona is a direct access state meaning that individuals can seek physical therapy without a referral from a physician. Physical therapists are health care professionals who are trained at a doctoral level to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Physical therapists work to improve, restore, and maintain movement and activity so that people of all ages can live at an optimal quality of life. Physical therapists are highly effective at providing alternative treatments to avoid or prolong surgery as well as other pain management techniques without the use of prescription medication. Research indicates that patients who chose physical therapy for low back pain have increased function and decreased pain. Pursuing an exercise program led by a Physical Therapists protects patients against injury and creates life long habits of success.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Tri-Physical Therapy is an Out-of-Network clinic and we accept all major PPO plans. We are happy to verify your insurance benefits and let you know of any costs up front.

What does out-of network mean?

This means that we do not have a contract with any insurance providers. Often insurance companies have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, so that your out of pocket expense is very low. We are happy to verify your individual out-of-network benefits.  If you do not of out-of-network benefits, we have a price list for each service that we offer.

Why are you out-of-network?

We are an out-of-network clinic because we want to provide the best care possible by providing treatment decisions that are not influenced by insurance companies. Many “in-network” PT clinics are highly influenced by what insurance companies reimburse. We do not feel comfortable letting insurance companies dictate our treatment sessions. All of our patients receive an individualized plan of care that should not be influenced by what insurance companies reimburse. Our patients receive hands-on, one-on-one care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy for 1 full hour. We know that this makes the difference in quality of care and getting results quicker.
