What makes Tri Physical Therapy different?

We offer one-on-one, hands-on, quality care with our licensed physical therapists for the entire 1-hour session. Each patient's treatment plan is customize, incorporating Pilates and myotherapy when appropriate. Our welcoming atmosphere fosters a safe, relaxing, and positive environment to achieve treatment goals.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

You can expect our undivided attention. Our PT will spend your initial evaluation getting to know you:

Listening to your goals.

Reviewing any X-rays or medical notes you may have.

Methodically assessing your movement patterns.

Pinpointing the root causes of your pain.

We prioritize patient education and clear communication about your customized treatment program. In most cases, patients leave with easy-to-follow home exercise programs and recommended follow-up visits designed to get you out of pain and back to living the life you love.

What should I expect from follow-up visits?

You can expect to see the same qualified therapist for a full hour every session. With gains made weekly, appointments are customized based on your progress. Your PT will use a combination of manual therapy, movement therapy, and education throughout the session. Your commitment to your at-home exercise program and making it to your follow-up visits will make all of the difference. For optimal results, you'll implement what you learn during your sessions throughout your day-to-day activities.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and socks that grip when on Pilates equipment. As myotherapy may be part of your treatment, we also suggest bringing a pair of shorts.

How long are the sessions?

The Physical Therapy and Pilates sessions are a full hour with the provider. Massages are available for 60 or 90 minutes.

Why do you use Pilates with Physical Therapy?

Pilates is a comprehensive way to develop the body through core strength, flexibility, balance/coordination, and mind/body awareness. Pilates uses springs to provide resistance, emphasizing smooth, controlled movement with concentration and proper breathing for muscle alignment and strengthening. The results are improved posture and movement throughout daily activities. Everyone can benefit from Pilates, regardless of age or activity level.

Do I need a referral from a physician to see you?

No. Physical Therapists are healthcare professionals trained at a doctoral level to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Physical Therapists can often provide alternative treatments that can avoid or prolong surgery and other pain management techniques without prescription medication. Pursuing an exercise program led by a Physical Therapists protects patients against injury and creates lifelong habits of success.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! Tri-Physical Therapy is an out-of-network clinic, and we accept all major PPO plans. We provide complimentary insurance verification of benefits. Before your first appointment, we will let you know of any costs upfront.

Why are you out-of-network?

We are an out-of-network clinic because we want to provide the best care possible. By opting out of in-network, insurance companies don't affect our decisions. Many in-network clinics are highly influenced by what insurance companies reimburse. We're not comfortable letting insurance companies dictate our care. Our patients receive customized, hands-on, one-on-one care with their best interests always put first. We know that this makes the difference in quality and results.
