  • Better posture and balance: Regular practice strengthens posture-supportive muscles, minimizing back and shoulder strain.
  • Personalized treatment plans: Each Pilates-based session is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring targeted and effective rehabilitation.
  • Mental and physical coordination: Pilates encourages mind-body connection, improving concentration and body awareness.
  • Injury prevention: By focusing on muscle balance and joint mobility, Pilates-based therapy helps in preventing future injuries.
Does physical therapy hurt?

Physical therapy should not cause severe pain, but you might experience mild discomfort, especially when working on injured or weak areas. Always communicate with your therapist if an exercise or technique feels too intense.

What should I wear to a physical therapy appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and supportive footwear. Your outfit should allow easy movement and access to the area being treated. For example, shorts may be recommended for lower-body issues, while a tank top might be helpful for shoulder or upper-back treatments.

Do I need prior experience with Pilates to try Pilates-based physical therapy?

No prior experience is needed! Pilates-based physical therapy is designed for individuals at all fitness levels. The physical therapist will guide you through exercises at a pace and intensity appropriate for your abilities and recovery stage.

I will recommend Tri Physical Therapy to anyone & everyone seeking PT services. Their front desk receptionist Chloe always makes my day brighter & makes scheduling easy. Not to mention she's amazing at checking how your insurance benefits may apply. I've been seeing Megan for diastasis recti after the delivery of my second child and am SO thankful for the incredible PT services she's provided. I'm finally starting to feel stability in my core again and it's given me hope that I'll be able to build my body back stronger & healthier than I was pre kids. Their PT massage specialist Vicky is also incredible and has provided so much relief to my shoulder pain & nursing body. It's a bit of a drive for me but it's so worth it for the care this place provides!

I’ve had many massages in the past but this was my first medical massage…..and it won’t be my last. Katy was AMAZING! She did a thorough intake to determine what specific health conditions I had and how to address them. She got knots out that I didn’t realized I had. When I initially called to inquire about medical massage Chloe graciously answered all my questions and got me scheduled the next week. I highly recommend Katy and Tri Physical Therapy.

I had partial knee replacement surgery and I have been to Tri PT for a few other things, and I love this place! Karen and Barbara are wonderful!! And Chloe the receptionist is very nice and helpful. They work one on one with you. It’s not like the bigger places that you go to that work with several people at once. They give you great tips for your exercises at home to make you heal quicker. Tri PT also has a couple massage therapist for your issues too. Highly recommend this place!!

The team at Tri PT is amazing! Chloe at the front desk is so on top of things, always thinking of the patients and finding ways to fit us in for sessions. Megan is incredible and very knowledgeable, especially in the areas of dry needling and pelvic floor therapy. Karen has an excellent way of blending basic Pilates concepts and foundations into your physical therapy and daily routine for improved strength and mobility. And Jennifer gives excellent massages, that can be done back to back after therapy sessions! All sessions are 1:1 with you and the therapist, which is different than most PT places I have been to and has been HUGELY helpful to me. Overall, this team is amazing and has been so helpful to me in my journey to understanding my body, managing my pain, and moving forward with strength, confidence, and ease. Thank you all so much! 10/10 recommend!
